I don't know what to think about this, if we become immortal how would things work?

We would obviously become over-populated, and I don't know if it would even be a good thing for a person to live more than, say 150 years or so.

This is the last thing humanity needs. Were overpopulated as it is.

Then what's the point of evolution if a "phenomena" like this develops?

VisionaryMGMT wrote by the end of our lives, there could be a cure to live forever. We could be the generation that lives forever.

Anyone else find that cool as ****?

Although you say live forever that will never happen because if people didn't die then the population would just keep rising which means less resources so it will run out and it will run out quicker so am sure we will never be able to live forever

The emphasis should not be on "living forever" or "immortality." The point to anti-aging research is because of attempting to KEEP PEOPLE HEALTHY, as well as not condemning them to die. JUST TO NOTE: Even if aging were to be eliminated in the near future, that absolutely does not mean that you are immortal; obviously you have forgotten about AIDS and getting ran over by a truck when you cross the street!

That would be amazing!
I doubt it will happen any time soon though!
if we cant find a cure for other things i doubt we can stop aging!
would be an amazing thing though.

I don't like it. I say everybody lives their life than their time comes. If this happens the world will become over populated way to quickly, which it already is over populated. it will be hectic.

cool, but not a good idea. Mankind wouldn't last as long though, because of the limit of population of the earth. We would use all of the biotic and abiotic factors too immensly if we were to become immortal or live much much longer.... just my opinion
