i hadnt realized it has integrated graphics and i dont know how i have been playing dayZ and stuff like that but i want a new graphics card.

do i need to buy a new CPU or can i just buy a new GPU and install it,and can someone please recommend one that would work with my pc.

EDIT: looking for the best thing from 100-200 with 200$ being the max.

my pc :

CPU/GPU: AMD a8-5500 APU with Radeon(tm) graphics.

PSU: im pretty sure its jsut a 350w not sure of the brand.

RAM: 8GB dont know brand

You can just buy a GPU and put it in the socket. But keep in mind that the specific motherboard the you have may have been designed to have only a socket for an APU, so you may have to upgrade a bit more than you had in mind. If that's the case, then you'll have to find a new motherboard and get a new CPU and GPU. What I can recommend though is you get the AMD A10-5800k that way there's no compatibility issues to worry about. It can run everything you throw at it, but keep in mind that you'll have to settle for less than ultra graphics. Also, there's not a whole lot you can get with a $200 max budget, so the AMD is probably your best bet.

You don't need to buy a new CPU, just get a GPU.
Also, you will need a better PSU because most GPU's need some power.

I would recommend one of these 2 GPU's.
- Sapphire: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
- EVGA: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Also a stronger PSU. Between 550 and 650W, here's a good choice.

Also, if you know your system manufacturer i could tell you your mobo but it doesn't exactly matter.
Hope this helps

A quality ~450w unit like the Antec VP-450 or Corsair CX430 would be much better-suited to builds with those cards. Both are light on power and only have single 6-pin power connectors.

650w is just ridiculous overkill and efficiency will not be ideal.

I've merged this and your other identical topic. No need for two.

No point in upgrading an APU if you'll be using discrete graphics. Although the CPU will still be the limiting factor for your PC, upgrading to a 7770 with an Antec VP-450 would be a good choice. If you want to upgrade your CPU without buying a new motherboard, you can get one of the FM2 Athlon II X4s like the 750K.

It's socket FM2. That leaves you with a limited upgrade path.
