Okay so i was playing runescape i had like 4-5 other tabs open then all of a sudden they closed by themselves then my webcam randomly turned on i shut down the computer. So do i have a RAT?

check ur task manger and if u see two winlogon.exe yes u got a rat if u dont u got a virus i would recommend u try downloading avg or malwarebytes to check hope this helped

check msconfig, task manager and your registry for anything suspicious.

RATs don't always use the winlogon process, they can inject into or create any other process.

OP, try opening CMD, task manager, or regedit. If it says it has been blocked by your administrator, then yes, you have a RAT. If not, then you may still have one, it's just that those three options are ones people usually disable when infecting others.

Try disconnecting from the internet on your infected computer, downloading Malwarebytes offline on another computer, put it on your infected computer via flash drive, and running a scan.

If it doesn't find anything, then either you don't have a RAT, or the crypter they used is FUD. (Fully Undetectable.) I highly doubt that is the case, though, since very few crypters offer long-lasting FUD.

Thanks for all the answers I checked everything and couldn't see anything wrong so just to be safe i backed up my things i need on a USB then restored my computer to factory settings. Thanks again TTG.
