Would this be a good idea? I would also like to know if it is a good price for them to build it for $1600 and how many frames this would get on the highest settings on a very demanding game. Thanks.

Well from threads I've read in the past...

I've heard an I7 doesn't have much of an advantage in gaming, a high end I5 works fine.
16GB of probably overkill, 8GB is plenty.
Is that the only harddrive you're getting? You'll run out of space with a 64GB drive pretty fast if you're installing games.

I will eventually get a 1tb HDD and install it but for the start I will use a external 1tb drive. I am wanting this PC to last me a long time and stay on the top for as long as possible. RAM is cheap so I figured I would go ahead and spend another $50 and double what I have. I was going to go with the i7 because I want it to last for a while I feel like a high end i5 would eventually be out dated much faster than a medium i7 would be. Is my logic sensible?

1k watts. OVERKILL.
16GB? For whut. Do you edit?
Swap the i7 for an i5-3570 or if you plan on overclocking i5-3570k and get a better SINGLE gpu. Crossfiring can lead to some problems.

What in the hell is the point of getting 2 650's?
That is the cost of a GTX 670 and just the single 670 will 100% out preform both those cards running in SLI.

I was thinking CUDA cores at first but the 650 has less than half of the base 670. There really is no point unless he plans to run a multi monitor setup. If he set this up himself on a build site, his picks would make sense as to why. But if this is what a base prebuild looks like on their site, I just gotta say, these people have NO idea WTF they're doing.

The GTX 670 runs triple monitors better than dual 650's would.
Still no point in getting them.

Stick with one GPU if at all possible. If you're willing to build this yourself, you can get a much better PC, but as it is we can't help much. This build isn't very good at all and everything needs to be changed.

Cut down on the CPU, go for a good i5 as i7 has not got that much of an advantage over a good i5. 8GB of ram is plenty, (depends on what your going to be using it for, if your running massive programs, recording and gaming at the same time go for 16GB)

Your going to run out of Hardrive really fast if your going to be installing games btw, try getting at least 1TB

And just get a GTX 670 instead of 2 GTX 650's
