My friend bought a new PSU and case for his computer, So we moved all the parts into the new case and everything booted fine but then we noticed we only using half the ram :L we switched this sticks and found out both sticks worked fine. But one of the slots must be broken is there anyway to fix it or could it be something else ??

Motherboard: H-I41-uATX (Eton/EtonL)
PSU: corsair cx500
CPU: Intel Pentium E5800
Ram: 3gb
Does anyone have any ideas ?

I have had a lot of ram die on me. 2 things can cause this.
1. manufacturing defects can cause early death in ram.
2. It being overclocked.
Just get two new sticks of ram and see if that fixes your problem.

What size is the RAM?

The maximum amount of memory that board supports is, DDR3 2x2GB = 4GB

You can't mix and match with RAM.

You need new RAM either DDR3 2x1GB=2GB or 2x2GB=4GB.

It looks like a common problem with the Motherboard. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Your best bet is to get a new Motherboard.

As i said in my post above it's the slot in the motherboard. You will have to face the fact that these things happen. If you still have warranty on the board then you should try and get it fixed. Or you could build a new system. Sorry to give you the bad news :< It sucks
