Leetspeak(1337 speak) is an alteration of the english language primarily used on the internet.
the word leet comes from the english word elite.
leetspeak is made up of words with letters instead of numbers, these letters include:
1(one) = L or I
3(three) = E
4(four) = A
5(five) = S
6(six) = G
7(seven) = T
8(eight) = B
0 (zero) = O

leetspeak also consists of english words with altered endings, e.g. "haxorz" instead of "hacker"
as in the above, the "ck" can be replaced with an "x" and the "er" is replaced by "orz"

the use of "age" or "ness" at the end of a word is also common in leetspeak such as "pwnage" or "leetness"

the letter "e" is often replaced with an apostrophe such as "pwned" becomes "pwn'd"

Common phrases in leetspeak
Noob(n00b) = someone can be described as a noob if they do something that a new player would do but the person themselves is not new.
Newb = someone new to something.
BK = back (as in i'm back){also, see below}
Leech = someone who attemts to get something for free without giving anything back. (commonly used on TTG)
THNX = Thanks
KK = Ok
JK = Joke {also, see below}
KL = Cool or Kool
Gratz or Congratz = Congratulations
