I have never Jailbroken a device before and am curious of a few things. Will Jailbreaking affect my contract terms or warranty? Will I be able to un-Jailbreak my device? And of course, are there any negative side effects to Jailbreaking? Please enlighten me.

Well, you will not be able to jailbreak because there is no 6.1.3 jailbreak. There is also no way to restore your phone to 6.1.2.

BUT, for when there is a jailbreak:

"Will Jailbreaking affect my contract terms or warranty?"
Yes it will. If you shatter your phone and it's jailbroken, they will not fix it.

"Will I be able to un-Jailbreak my device?"
Yes you can. Before jailbreaking you will need to make a backup of your phone. To un-jailbreak all you have to do is restore to that backup. And unjailbreaking it will put your phone back into warranty because they will not be able to tell that it was once jailbroken.

"are there any negative side effects to Jailbreaking?"
The only negative effects I have ever noticed is that it slows down your phone a little. But by deleting tweaks/apps you don't use, you can help to speed it up.

He is able to jailbreak his iPhone 4 on ANY iOS firmware because of his bootrom exploit. The only thing is that it will be tethered.

Oh, I don't typically look into tethered exploits. I go off of evasi0n. But thanks for correcting me!

Thanks for the advice Baseband! However what do you mean tethered, Adverzity? Can you link me to a working jailbreak? I know there is a sticky, but I'm new to this.

Tethered simply means that to restart/reboot your phone, you have to plug it into your computer. So if it dies or you have to turn it off because it's frozen, you will need to connect it to your computer to turn it back on. I find it to be a hassle and I just wait for a new untethered jailbreak (you can turn your phone on and off with no connection to the computer). But I'm sure Baseband will be able to give you a link!

No, I believe Baseband is correct. There is a tethered jailbreak for iPhone 4. But if I'm correct, 4s and 5 can only be jailbroken on iOS 6.1.2 and below.

I'll just wait for the untethered version. Will I be waiting long?

They could take a while or maybe not, it really depends on how fast they find a exploit.
