BATTLEFIELD 4 - MEGA THREAD
Battlefield 4 is the next iteration of the Battlefield franchise and is the thirteenth game compulsively. It was mistakenly revealed as a pre-order bonus on their Origin client if the user pre-ordered Medal of Honor: Warfighter. It has been confirmed as a direct sequel to Battlefield 3, continuing the events of Sgt. Blackburn and Dmitri Mayakovsky. The only know confirmed date is "Fall 2013"; and is also expected to release on next-generation (9th gen.) consoles.

TEASERS:

    Electronic Arts began marketing campaigns for Battlefield 4 on March 21st, 2013 by revealing 20 second clips each day until it's reveal on March 27th, 2013.

TECHNOLOGICAL IMPROVEMENT RUMOURS/SYNOPSIS:

Battlefield 4 is rumoured to feature an upgraded Frostbite 2.5 engine which hosts improved weather dynamics (including random weather occurances), tessellation improvements and added destruction. It has full compatibility with DirectX 11. Next-generation consoles will feature 64-player battles, while current-generation consoles will only be capable of 24-player battles. Battlefield 4's campaign is rumoured to occur in 2020; and some confirmed guns are entitled "China J20", "China Y20" and "Xianglong" advanced weaponry. Vehicles include the "China 99" tank system and the "M1A2 TUSK". The base maps "Diaoyu Islands", "Tiananmen", "Shanghai Bund", "Xizhimen", "Xizhimen's Rush". Battlefield 3's weapon modifications system will be preserved and improved upon. Battlelog will be enhanced to Battlelog 2.0 and will improve much more features. Players will have ability to customise their appearance, modify their equipment and rent their own server. Old players will have the ability to unlock veteran exclusive weapons. DLC maps are rumoured to be entitled "power plant of Dalian, Daqing Oilfield, the Great Wall and Granville GDC"

Initially I was looking forward to BF4, now I doubt that I will be even able to play it unless I buy a new 2000$ PC in order to get it running on decent GFX.... :/
