We got back from the Machu Picchu tour last night it was awesome but took forever to get there. We had to wake up at about 4:30 a.m. to get ready for the trip and had to go to a train station to get there. And since it's winter down here so it was about 30 degrees farinhiet (or however u spell it). the train ride was 3 hours to get there but we got to see alot of scenery and there were remote villages literally in the middle of nowhere and the houses were like metal shacks it made me feel bad for them Once we got to Machu Picchu we had a 2 hour tour and then a couple hours to ourselves. This place was amazing it is just a big town on top of a mountain but these people must have taken forever to build it (the tour guide said approximately 80-100 years) The buildings are all made out of stone perfectly built to withstand erosion, weather, etc. They had several temples for the sun, earth, etc. it was really cool. They also had a sundial that was perfectly made. if you held a compass up to it it perfectly shows the directions. They had windows in several locations where you could see the sunrise straight through the window it was awesome it surpirsing how people don't fall off there is nothing between you and several thousand feet to the ground. The tour guide did say that last year a few tourists were killed by falling off that must have sucked They also had like a town center/plaza that was all grass it was cool. The tour guide also said that the inca's (people who built it) only tamed two kinds of animals: llama and alpaca which are almost the same thing. They kept thease animals in the plaza for their fur, meat, etc. The tour guide also said that one of the famous delicasies they liked was guinea pig they at every part of it brains, eyes and all sounds good, right? anyways after the tour we explored a bit and went back. But they had a ton of stairs you had to go up and since there is less oxygen in the mountains it tires you out really fast just going up about 20 stairs Yeah that is pretty much it for that tour that was the highlight of the trip but on the way back since we weren't near a city you could see alot of stars in the sky it was awesome The rest of the stuff planned is just museums and stuff like that. I might post back tonight or tomorrow if you ask a question or want to know more.

That is like the exact same thing my sister said when she went there and came back. That is so interesting and I am so planning to go there. Thanks for telling me how it was.
