r00t built something similar like this for me. Same price range too, so i'd suggest something like this.

Intel uses more advanced architectures which give overall better performance, while AMD focuses on more cores, allowing heavy overclock, and trying to get lower prices. In a way I think Intel is more "professional". So if you want performance/quality, go with Intel. If you would a good value go with AMD. I always recommend Intel even if it is a little bit more expensive.

This build should come out to be around 617 Pounds (I'm USD. Had to use a converter).

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] I use Newegg for most if not all of my shopping btw. So, around 617 Pounds, which includes a copy of Windows 7, and an after-market fan for the i5. The reason for the fan (Only $20, not a big deal) is because I've had bad experiences with stock fans in the past, and with a $200 CPU, I'd prefer you not take chances. Sometimes such a small amount can save quite a bit of heartache down the road. And with the Radeon 7850, and the 8GB DDR3 1600mhz, you should get High-Ultra settings with very smooth FPS in almost all titles. This doesn't include the monitor, so you may have to throw in another $100-150 there for a quality display. Hope this helps.
