Hey,
Recently, I purchased some upgrade parts for my PC. Specifically, a 600W PSU, an MSI Radeon 7850 OC graphics card and 8GB of Corsair DDR3 1333MHz RAM. (2x4GB modules). The PC I am upgrading is a Packard Bell iXtreme I6523 UK.
After installing the parts myself, the computer failed to boot up (couldn't even get the BIOS screen). As a consequence, I took the parts/PC to a computer expert in the village. He could not find a solution to my problem. He only managed to get the graphics card and PSU running with 2GB of my old RAM. Before I did the upgrade, I had 2GB and 1GB RAM modules installed (for a total of 3GB), but apparently the 1GB no longer works and i'm now stuck with 2GB! (very frustrating)
So, the situation I'm in now: Running games on an overclocked 7850 with a 600W PSU. With 2GB of RAM. It's like driving a Ferrari with a Reliant Robin engine. I max 25-30fps on Minecraft with the default texture pack on vanilla.
As you can see, it's annoying me. I'd really appreciate some help and advice on what to try. The guy who was helping me in the PC shop said he had never experienced anything like it before. It simply does not boot up with the new RAM. (No beep from motherboard or display output)
Will appreciate all help and advice, and have plenty of REP to hand out.

Originally, I ordered 1600Mhz RAM, which (according to the computer expert) was not compatible with my motherboard. He advised that I should try 1333Mhz RAM instead (which I did), and is incompatible with my PC. Can you think of a way to check what kind of RAM is compatible with my PC?

Possibly dead sticks? do you have another pc you could test the ram on? I am not trying to insult your intelligence, but does your motherboard use ddr3 ram?

Check that your ram sticks are in properly
Edit: Or one might be faulty.
Try removing one...boot up.. If that fails, reinsert it and remove the other one.

Check your RAM voltage is matching your motherboard,
In your motherboard manual, try find a section on tweaking RAM voltage

Does your PC support DDR3 Or DDR5? You might have a DDR2 mobo. Not sure if this would effect it.

Lots of response, really appreciate the help guys.
After thinking about it, I'm not entirely sure what RAM my motherboard supports. I remember finding out from a source that DDR3 should work for my motherboard - but it certainly is a possibility that it may not.
I've taken a look on this website, which supposedly guarantees to find working RAM for your desktop.
