I had that. I shut off my computer and went into safe mode. I then just restored my computer from like a couple of days before. You can search it up for details. I can't remember the details, but that is roughly what you have to do.

I've had this happen to me before on Skype. The message I got said I was attempting to gain access to classified files when I was in a Skype call with my friend. It said I needed to pay $500 and show up in court to testify my case. I didn't get a message saying it was being recorded but my camera would turn on when I normally have it off. At first I was a little worried thinking I was being blamed for something I didn't do but found out it was a scam, But it was more a hack because the next day my laptop crashed got blue screen and wouldn't get passed the logo screen without blue screening and I took it to best buy told them what happened and the guy told me I was ratted. So I ended up buying a desktop.

Do what some of the users have been telling you to do to try and get rid of it as quickly as possible.

Use Kickstart. They have a tutorial on their page and it's made to get rid of this ransomware specifically.

I had something similar a while back on my old build, it removed all anti-virus, etc from my computer and really messed it up, I'd recommend doing a clean install as soon as possible.

You'll have to try and get the pass, just explain the problem to the person who knows the pass, I'm sure he will give it you or get it sorted out.
