I'm an atheist too, haha.
No need to apologize, they could both be seen as reasonable explanations.

Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities.[1][2] In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities.[3][4][5] Most inclusively, atheism is simply the absence of belief that any deities exist.[4][5][6][7] Atheism is contrasted with theism,[8][9] which in its most general form is the belief that at least one deity exists.[9][10]

Atheism is a sad thing maybe you should further educate yourself before you devote your life and your mind to the refusal of the existence of any higher life form.
Doesn't that seem kind of improbable?
If you have honestly convinced yourself that there is no life form higher than yours then
your life will be a short and simple one.

Yes, he will die young and not have as good a life compared to that of a christian or muslim... how stupid do you sound right now?

I agree, thinking that someone's life will be shorter because of their religion... There are many old aged and wealthy atheists out there.

Why is it a sad thing? What should someone that is Atheist educate themselves in? Why do you think an Atheist's life will be short and simple simply because he does not believe in a higher being? Atheists usually educate themselves in science and in the teachings of religions. There are some great and caring Atheists out there. You don't need to believe there is a higher being to do good in life. You do good in life because it feels good to do. You do good so others can be inspired to be better people and to be successful. A higher being matters none.

llluminati wrote Oh, now I see what you are saying, I have no comment on that. I highly doubt it happened but hell, who knows.

But think about it... why would an all loving god (THE DEVIL!!!) kill millions/billions of people(A BAD THING!!!) while the devil (real GOD) gave everyone knowledge of good and bad(A GOOD THING!!)

food for though
God's job is to maintain Nature, he HAD to kill all those people. In Nature, it's natural for things to die, so it would make sense that he sent wars, plagues, etc..

So you're saying god is good even though he killed millions, even billions... I don't think so. THE DEVIL(GOD) NEVER KILLED ANYONE.

Oh really? Well then, how did people die? Was it because of The Devil? No. You know why? It's not natural for people to be invincible. Since God created the universe, it's HIS job to take care of it.

Think about like this:

Imagine there are two monkeys and twenty bananas.

Eventually, the monkeys will reproduce.

And THEN, they will run out of bananas.

And they'll starve.

That's why there's a God. To ensure that there's plenty food and other needs for us all. That's why he has to lay waste to people, to balance the world.

God actually doesn't do anything of the sort.

God left humanity to fend for itself after the Fall, we gained free will, but also inherited a world of suffering, payment for that free will.
If there was no suffering there would be no free will and we would all be robots, it's either suffering and free will or peace and no free will, not both.

Ignorance is bliss my friend, free will is not something you are givin its something you are born with, even a slave can rise up against his master.
I can see directly into this posts poor education on the subject.

This guy

Free will was given by God to Adam and Eve in the Garden, what he didn't give them was the free will to do Evil, that came when the devil tempted Eve to eat from the tree of knowledge of Good and evil, hence the fall and original sin.

My Atheism comes from 11 years of studying the Bible and all of the arguments for and against both sides.
I often change from Atheism to Deism, but at the moment I am Atheist.

So why must you bash on us? This is OUR personal opinion, not yours. You have absolutely NO right to insult Sith or me. This is a reason a lot of people turn to atheism, because their religion was bashing on others for their opinions.

It's people like you that should not speak.

ExoticWolfs wrote Well, is God/the Devil even real? There is no proof of them yet. And the bible doesn't mean anything. A old man could of just wrote that. You never know.

Exactly maybe a old man just twisted the bible to make it into a religion from an old story book...

I'm not religious. I'm Agnostic. But if the bible indeed is proven true, it's plausible. I mean, we know the bible was altered by churches in the past, who's to say it wasn't Lucifer's followers?

Either way, it feels improbable. The fact that god is all powerful, anything bad altered from something that represents him would be against the nature he was conjured into. But in my opinion, nothing is 100% certain.

Touche OP. I vowed never to comment in religious topics on this site, but this is a pretty interesting thought. I have no opinions myself due to my personal beliefs, (Agnosticism, would've been Atheist if my parents didn't try to force feed me religion at a young age; don't know what to goddamn believe...), but a very interesting thought to consider.

This is the exact shit that causes people to hate religion, and one of the big reasons which drove me away from it. I for one love the idea of not limiting my life based upon the rules of a deity who may or may not exist. And if in the end there really is a deity, **** it; I love warm places.

You keep relating back to when you said he killed millions upon millions of people..
Maybe the bad thing was done for the good.
