In doing a bar spin make sure you can throw the bars by standing and lifting bike up and throwing them. Next step is to bunny hop and when you do this learn back towards the back of your seat allowing it to rotate in front of you and not get caught. Also If you throw with one hand and follow the bars with the other will help until you can fully throw them that both hands are way off and you can then learn to throw them behind you for example a seat grab. Hope it helps I love to BMX.
