Hi,

Please answer the following questions and we should get the issue sorted in no time!

What laptop do you have?

Brand, model etc..

Is it kept in a well ventilated area?

Have you damaged the fan at all?

How old is the laptop?

If you can hear the fan going, pretty loud, there's a good chance it has some dust and build up on it. Open that bad boy up, and wipe off the fan blades. I did that cor my CPU unit, worked like a charm ever after. Also the battery is a big contributor as well. If my fan option doesn't work, I think it's time for a new battery.

Clean the blades off like I said without damaging them, and let me know what happens after. If you need any more help, PM me.

Does the battery die out almost immediately after taking the charger out?

have you checked to make sure you are on the latest Bios update for your laptop? i had a HP laptop with a fan issue similar and after updating my 2 year old Bios not only did the fan and cooling issues go away but my computer ran faster and quieter. the battery just needs to be replaced they tend to go bad after a few years especially if you don't take care of them or they are subjected to certain environmental damages.

Only do this with an Uninterruptable Power Supply (battery for your AC electronics) because once you lose power while flashing, your ROM will be dead and so will your computer too. I cannot express how dangerous this is for your computer (even with the UPS).
