If this was to happen, is there any chance this could've happened before? If life was to restart , maybe it already has. This could be a never ending cycle and every billion, trillion years it would restart everything.

It would become a red giant as someone has already pointed out due to the fact that the total size / mass of our sun is too small for it to become a super giant.
If you're talking about life as humans, it's considered possible that there are identical copies of us somewhere in the universe due to probability. (If it's considered infinite).
