Thanks to those who have supported the topic!

This post will show you how to improve your all around game performance, and boost your K/D Ratio

You'll find tips for:

    Combat Training
    Playstyle
    Map knowledge
    Gametypes
    Avoiding Deaths
    Killstreaks
    + More

Use combat training to your advantage.

If you are having trouble with online multiplayer, get used to the game first with Combat Training, get a feel for all of the weapons, learn the maps, find what sensitivity you will use, get an all around feel for the game. During the first Black Ops I used Combat Training to get good at quickscoping, it helps out drastically, especially if you are a new player.

    Identify your playstyle.

The first thing you should do is identify your playstyle. Find what guns you are most confortable with and all around best with, find perks that help you out the most. If you are a rusher, or someone who stays back(a camper). It all depends on what works out the best for you. Once you get used to the game, you will find out what type of player you are very early.

Sub Machine Guns - Good for short range battles, and quick kills. Very mobile. You will see these on smaller close quarter maps. For the players that like to run around and rush the enemy team.
Assault Rifles - Good for mid range battles, and can compete and long ranges, less mobile, but still all around strong. For the all around player, players that can rush, and compete at all ranges.
Light Machine Guns - Less mobile, good for taking out multiple enemies at one time, strong but not slower overall. For players that stay back, good for guarding areas, and spawn trapping.
Shotguns - Short range, very mobile and powerful. For the Players that can react fast, and rush the map.
Sniper Rifles - Long Range and Mobile, at the same time good at short range if you can quick scope. For the players that are quick and accurate.

    Learn the maps.

Learn where you want to place yourself, and where most enemies normally go to, find the chokepoints of the maps, and use them to your advantage. Learn to predict where enemies are going to be, and learn where to flush them out.

Map Overviews:

Find out what gametype best fits your playstyle.

If you enjoy playing the objective and being a team player, play Capture the Flag or Domination. If you simply want to win games or kill enemies, play Team Deathmatch. Just find the gametype you enjoy playing the most, and stick with it.

    Avoid getting killed.

Sounds obvious, but this is what makes or breaks your game. Avoid running senselessly at the enemy, if you die at one place, either grenade it out or find a way to flush them out without running right back there to die the same way you did the first time. Try finding a place where you can pick off enemies easily with an advantage rather than running mindlessly around the map.

    Use Tacticals

With the new pick 10 system people often leave out Tactical grenades, I think that's a big mistake. Tacticals are very useful, you can flash the enemies and leave them stunned, getting you an easy kill. If you are playing an objective game, tactical grenades can play a big part, use them to stop the enemy from getting to your objective, and use tacticals to get to the enemies objective. If you have ever been flashed over and over you know how annoying it is, be that person, you will have the advantage.

    Use the right killstreaks

If you are that player that can get 2-3 high killstreaks a game that is fine. But if you're not don't bother waisting your time trying to get them. Use low killstreaks, in the end they will help you out a whole lot more than if you are dying over and over trying to get Dogs/Swarms, etc.

    Getting Headshots

Often you will die when you are going for headshots, but how can you resist when you want gun camos. This is very simple, aim for the head, shoot in bursts.

    Try not to rage

If you are like me, you get very frustrated when you are having a bad game, and it often makes you play worse. If you are getting annoyed by how the other team is playing, I suggest you either leave the game or try to find a new way to beat them. Keep a cool head, and avoid getting too mad.

    Use your minimap

This is very important, use your minimap to the best of your abilities, watch where your teammates are going, and where they have died at. Pay attention to see if any enemies are nearby, or if they have shot their gun. The minimap helps you out more than you think, so use it to its full potential.

I hope this helps someone out, especially someone who might be new to the game.
If there is anything you think should be included, feel free to post below and I will add it if I think it fits in with the topic.
