Hey guys, What's going on..

Basically, this topic is all about becoming YouTube successful and how to gain your views, subscribers and most importantly to build a community.

For starters most of you will be wondering who I am if you haven't seen me on The Tech Game before and also if i'm even big on YouTube.
Well in fact I am an average 15 year old boy who obviously plays a lot of video games and likes to record and commentate over my videos but, it isn't all about play video games on YouTube in fact most YouTubers are vloggers and other video makers. I know from me making this topic you will think I am a biggish YouTuber giving my tips and hints on "how I got big?" but, in fact I'm not big at all but I have the knowledge and understanding what needs to be done and exactly what to do.

The Right Equipment:

Every YouTuber knows and hopefully also quite a lot of other people know that to become successful on YouTube that you are going to need the right equipment and to know the right equipment you have to research and find what is the best equipment in your category that you are going to be focusing on and that you are going to try and become successful in.
For example, In my category their are many different types of recording hardware that are known as "bad" and "good" recording hardware, such as a 'Hauppauge HD PVR' was the very best equipment I could have got when I started recording but, since time has progress it has changed a lot. As you will see the second version of the Hauppauge PVR has been released and people have picked up this instead of the first version but I have done my recent research that their is now the 'Elgato' and this hardware is the very best that you can get right now and the software that comes with it lets you do a number of things that this topic doesn't need to cover.
On the other hand, In this area it is most likely some of the people reading this want to become a vlogger. Now for this area I'm not to sure on what is required of you but it is mainly to have a very good camera that can shoot high quality standard videos and can pick up your voice very easily and clearly for people to hear, as well as having a camera you will need a tripod as an extra to enable you to stand with it at your height recording your face while your talking.

Moving on, If like me you are looking to become a commentator over your videos on YouTube you will need to pick up a very clear and an easy microphone to use as it will enable viewers to listen to you easily and to become fond of your videos. I use a very bog standard Xbox 360 and PC headset which are the 'Turtle Beach X12 Headset' and these are very clear to hear but, using a 'Turtle Beach' headset will enable you to pick up the slightest noises such as dog barks, and door slams from around your house. From my research in the "best microphone for YouTube" I have been able to find many different types of microphone such as Yeti, Yeti Pro, Spark and for the best one around it has to be the Snowball. Many bigger YouTubers use these microphone as they are very easy to use and very clear on picking up your voice and cutting out other ambient sound that is not wanted including the "P's".

Next under this category is the right computer for the job, Here is a tough topic to talk about due to the fact my computer is not the best computer you can come across due to me having a uncle-built computer from about 6 years ago, but the funny fact is that it can still use 'Sony Vegas 10' to cut, edit and render my videos into shape and get them up onto YouTube. Obviously on this step, the better computer you have the easier it's going to be to render and upload onto YouTube but proving from my computer you DO NOT NEED THE BEST! to make and upload these videos.

What to talk about/What do on YouTube:

This topic is probably the biggest asked about topic on YouTube and forums like The Tech Game, For starters why should anybody tell you what to talk about or do on YouTube? It's your channel.
Do what ever you feel comfortable doing, if you like playing games; record them and upload them. If you like talk to a camera about your life events, do it and make a vlog. As you can see anything on YouTube can get views as long as you put the effort into your channel and commit yourself.

1). If you are going to make 'Call of Duty' videos make sure that your not always talking about the video and the gameplay in the video, For example if you look at any of the big YouTubers that you know you will not once now see them talking about the whole gameplay for the entire video unless their doing some sort of 'Road to Commander' series. Think of recent news or topics that are being talked about a lot and try relate your video about these topics as most people will want to know about them or at least listen to you ramble on about them.

2). If you are going to make 'vlogs' make sure that your not going to be talking about other people all the time and that your not going to be hate on any other YouTubers, the best thing to do is to build a community and a friendship with other YouTubers which can then help you become bigger. Again, try and tell people about your events going on in YOUR life because you will be amazed at the people getting bored of your ranting and raging about other people. Also, try and make your videos exciting and thrilling to watch as people will become bored of you always stood in a room talking about boring topics, make them exciting as possible and give your viewers a really good video to watch that they will be thinking about for the rest of the day/week.

How to gain views:

First of all in this topic, you need to understand and learn that you are not going to get loads of views over night after you start a channel up. It's takes time and effort in each video to get even 1,000 views let alone a few thousand.

1). For the first step, you need to be able to be friendly in any situation that occurs due to the fact, making friends is key when becoming a YouTuber and they can help you get recognized as much as I can. Add people on skype that have a couple of hundred subscribers and/or that are making similar videos to what you are, after that tell them that you like their videos and you are trying to become successful on YouTube; they will most probably get back to you with some sort of message saying "hi" but, you need to be able to ask of people such as subscriptions for your channel and to either comment/like on your video (this gains views through their subscribers). If they are not willing to do that after you have been speaking to them for a while then they will probably not be the best person to be speaking to and making friends with, On the other hand don't give up talking to them and they could change their minds about you.

2). Alot of YouTubers miss this step out, And that is posting on forums such as this one and many others. It is vital that you get your videos out to different communities than just YouTube itself as more people will probably take interest on forums first. Now obviously I'm not trying to move you from The Tech Game but, I'm simply saying use a lot more forums than this one to promote yourself as more the merrier.

3). Like in the first point of this area, getting other users to like, comment and favourite the video will increase your views rapidly as if their have over 1,000 subscribers at least half of them will recognize the video, and most probably 100-200 of them will click on it to watch it. Obviously the more the person has of subscribers the more views your video will receive, and vice-versa.

How to gain subscribers:

This area is obviously the most important area on becoming successful on YouTube, as you and most other people see it is that the more subscribers you have, the bigger YouTuber you are. Well, that is true!

You need to be kind to people in order to get them to watch your videos and then for them to subscribe to you but, Again it is all coming down to who you are friends with and how well they are willing to help you as you are building your channel up. If you can get them to put you in their Sub-box that will probably increase your publicity levels if they have regular visitors to their channel as they are more likely to click on you.

Also, on the side on publicizing yourself. You need to use the help on forums again by telling people what you do on YouTube and what you plan to do in the future, As people want to watch funny and good quality videos as much as they want to know that by subscribing to you that you will keep a good routine of your uploading schedule.

Building a Community on your Channel:

This is another key element again of becoming successful due to the fact having subscribers makes a community and this gains you views and other things that are needed while being a YouTuber.

By building a community on your channel, this is having the subscribers that you have and using them to get feedback on your videos and eventually to be tweeting you, posting on your Facebook fan page and loads of other cool things like that.
You will be using the step before this to carry out this step and by doing this step you will know that you are successful on YouTube at this point because every one of your videos will have feedback on them through either likes/dislikes and comments which will be good or bad (and you will have to accept that there can be negative things posted to you).

This topic has taken me quite a lot of time and I would appreciate any 'Thanks', Reputation or any feedback in the replies below.

If you would like me to add anything into this message me on here and I will most likely take it on board and add it.

Hope you've learnt from this topic, Good luck in your YouTube experience.

James.

Hey, Your channel looks like it's coming on pretty well.
What ever you do, don't keep restarting on different channels.
That's what is getting you less and less views and not building a community.
Just keep on carrying on what your doing because from what I can see it's all good, but on every video you post on YouTube, post it in this section and use other forums too.
If this doesn't improve your views in the next few videos get back to me!

Yes, well just remember to keep on promoting yourself as a channel and what your channel is about in certain sections that will attract the right kind of people to your channel to then subscribe. You can also see if some of your friends could sub-box you and maybe give you a shoutout if they are really close friends. The partnership should give you a good opportunity to gain subscribers, especially if you start to become friends with the network owner. Who are you partnered with? That could depend how well you get noticed, depending on how big it is.

+Rep if the topic helped man.

It is a very professional channel, and it should carry on earning views, WooZyinHD I suggest that you try make another video / map download that brought you these views and then that should bring you subscribers too.
