what do you mean by disc tray error?

If you are talking about when you put in a disc and the thing just says Open tray? If yes then your xbox is screwed. You'll have to get a new one soon. It happened to me first it's a couple games than all. Just get a new xbox soon. If you need more info PM me.

When you put in a disk tap on the xbox above where you put in the disk it works for him.

yah when I got no money either

Close the tray manually with your fingers and hold the tray in with your 2 fingers till you see the game load on screen (This worked for my old xbox 360 console.)

I had the same problem and the Microsoft rep told me to first, take out my HDD, then clear system cache, then turn the Xbox on, then off again, then reinsert the HDD, and it should work. It happens to my Xbox ocasionaly.

I had that error on my old Xbox.

Ended up having to buy a new one sadly.
And I tried literally everything on YouTube, and when nothing worked, I just bought another Xbox.

But some people say once you insert a disc, and while the tray is going inside of the Xbox, you're supposed to tap the top of the Xbox slightly, not hard enough to do any real damage. But, I hope you find a solution.
