With the hole the Lakers are in at this late point in the year it seems like they won't make the playoffs. This will be the 6th time in Laker history, pretty pathetic with their roster don't you think?

What do you guys think? You think they'll make it?

I wouldn't count them out if Kobe plays as more of a guard than a forward.

Kobe is getting a lot of assists for himself. If he keeps it up, they'll win enough games to get into the playoffs. They do have a decently easy schedule after the All-Star break.

Not really a stunning line up, Besides there starters the bench isn't very good, And D'Antoni isn't a very good defensive coach. They may make the playoffs if they learn to play defense and there bench steps up

It all depends on how the rest of the West plays, Kobe is playing pass first right now, that'll end, he's too selfish. Dwight will eventually b*tch about his touches, and Pau will be traded.

Lakers are overrated.

They pick D'Antoni over Phil Jackson? First mistake right there.

Picking up Big Baby Dwight Howard? Second Mistake.

It was kobe that wanted D'Antoni the most and look where its gotten them. Kobe himself is overrated let alone there entire pathetic franchise they call an nba team. Id rather watch a bobcats game lol.

Well first of all this is coming from a Laker-Hating Celtics Fan, but you got it all wrong. Phil Jackson was going to decline their offer to coach away games meaning Phil is seriously only coaching a max of 42 games a year, this is bad for two reasons. 1) Phil won't be able to schedule away practices. 2. Phil won't be able to coach away games leaving the intern coach to the away games which would cause much un-needed turmoil on the drama queen team that is the Lakers, that being said, I do agree D'Antoni was a baaaaad choice. The jumped the gun firing Mike Brown, They just needed to rework all the kinks and bumps in the road the first being how to work having Dwight Howard in the post, the team can't effectively use Howard, the best center in the NBA, all of his stats have lowered from the previous year. I guess we'll have to see over time but for me I'd count the Lakers out of the playoffs this year.
