So less weapons would be in circulation, and people who refused to give up weapons would be charged with resisting arrest, or even worse, treason. It's how life goes.

Being the owner of an AR-15 Semi-Automatic, it is an assault rifle. This is the type of weaponry we are talking
about. Also the Bushmaster Used in the Newtown shooting was semi automatic and classified as an Assault
Rifle.

Nevertheless, can you provide one VALID (No, "Because it's my right" isn't valid) reason for owning that weapon? There are a thousand other less dangerous handguns to use to defend your family. I doubt you will have the cartel breaking down your door tomorrow also. So no need for the high capacity magazine right?

My use of an AR-15 is fully recreational and maybe someday could be used for a time in need such as a natural disaster, to fend off people who would kill me for my food. How is asking you why you really need that weapon off topic? You put "Why guns shouldn't be banned" as the title. And what off my post could have been C&P? The assault rifle is a weapon with selective firing ranging from Full Auto, burst firing, and single fire. Of course, there are toher variables though. And for recreational use? So you would risk putting all those lives at risk, for a day at the range? And the natural disaster, ehh I guess that is valid.

Ok, whether we are talking about automatics or semi autos, if a criminal wants a gun, he/she will get a gun. Illegally or legally. Price is no matter for some of these people.
