I have had shotguns for a while now. Recently a few of my friends have also gotten them.
So this has been 100% confirmed by 4 different people I know well.
It has to do with both K/D ratio and high rounds.
Everyone on my list has a K/D of about 140-160+ give or take seems to be the mark to hit.
If your around a 150+ with 50k+ kills total and you still DO NOT have shotguns, you have to play a SOLO game to round 40-50.
That is what seems to trigger the shotguns. If you have at least 2 maps solo w/40+ rounds and 150+ k/d and still dont have shotguns.....I have no clue.
5 people I know all got them after working to get there K/D to 150+, then playing a few high round solo games
