The fact on how he is isn't sad, the sad part is the losers who bullies him. Bullies are nothing but losers that deserve nothing but a miserable life. The bullies are the true sad people in this situation.

This is what's wrong with society. Everyone already knows it, but people this like who judged others because of what they talk about or how they dress, or how many friends they have. Exactly, he isn't afraid of who he is and most of the people in this world can learn something from him.

I don't know what to say. I'd love to give you honest advice but this is the life we live and let him live as he pleases. I'm not saying your a bad person because its clear you find sympathy in this person but make a friend out of him and invite him into your world and let him see the light in this age or let him go on not knowing this era.
