I have the VisualBoy emullator for playing pokemon games on my laptop. For some reason when I download a Rom , it comes up as the wrong file type. Is there anyway I can change it? Its a Pokemon Crystal Rom. Somehow a long time ago I changed the file type to " VisualBoy" on accident, and now everytime I re-download it , it is downloaded with that file type and I cant run it. So does anyone know how to change it back?

I won't rage about the legality of that but...
First you need to enable file extensions, on Windows 7 just search for "file extensions" and click "Show or hide file extensions" [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
You should come up with a menu like this: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" and then the extensions should appear beside the file.

Well at least that's the MANUAL way, I don't know about automatically fixing it.
