Kurumu wrote I consider myself to be a competitive cod player, I play for the win and for the most kills and lowest deaths. I spent some time getting my kd in black ops 1 up to a positive after being negative about 10,000 kills. Now on BO2 I hold a 2.07 and people say kd doesn't matter although the kids who say that suck ass at the game so my point is that kd does matter but kids who say it doesn't of course it won't to them because they suck balls at the game.

Competitive CoD Player: So let me guess your meaning of competitive cod player. Going into Public (Pubs) Matches and smashing kid's.

That is not a competitive cod player, that's a Pub stomp-er not that hard to do.

Competitive CoD Player: My meaning of Competitive CoD Player: Playing GB's, 360icons, LAN's, or Tournaments. Usually working with 3-4 people to beat the other team. So in GB's, 360icons your K/D isn't tracked. A competitive cod player doesn't mean you have a good K/D. You do what you have to do win as a team, yeah you could go 40-4 and if your not a team player your going to lose.

So competitive cod player eyes K/D does not matter. Competitive Players Need to have good gunskill, callouts, and being able to work with other to reach a common goal.

No, it doesn't matter. It's a game, meant for fun. I can see if your a competitive player, but playing for the hell of it and not acquiring any profit, makes you under the category of casual gamer (IMO).

My KD in BO2 was above 2. I stopped caring and would run around with an RPG and "suicide bomb".

Why, because it entertained me, getting mad at a game for having a low KD doesn't make sense, and it's not going to help you EVER. It won't look good on a job application. They could care less about your KD.

I honestly think it's people who take a game too seriously care about a KD and then you have the people who are horrible and don't want to admit it. But then there are people like me, who could care less.

Moral of the story, whats the reason to be upset over a number in a virtual world. It won't help you accomplish anything in life, and just makes you seem like an ass when you brag about it.

EDIT:
Forgot something. You can easily grow your KD by sitting in one spot in demolition, if your careful enough. That's why a lot of campers have high KD's

No dumb ass by competive player I meant that I used to do GB with friends. I still do team battles if people want to and if you did not read the whole rant it says that I play for the win so it looks like you were so very wrong.

Also you mention how competitive players don't care about kd, bull shit they don't they care about all their stats your casual cid player couldn't give two shits about their stats.

I'm a competitive cod player also, my kd is not high because I mess around with friends. I kill myself with a c4 just to mess around. lol. I'd say it wouldn't matter either because someone can mess around a game and kill themself (me) and then try the next game.

Actually he's right. Actual competitive players care more about the objective of the gametype. This means, if your going to play demolition, plant the bombs.
So the KD doesn't have much to do with it unless your playing a gametype solely based on kills, which then it just defaults to the team with the most kills/least deaths wins. (Makes sense)

It may matter to you, but to them it doesn't. I don't play COD alot anymore mainly because it's just become garbage.
But anyway, that's my opinion.
