Is there a mysterious force that causes ships and planes to disappear in the Bermuda Triangle, or is this just another far-fetched theory?
Located in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean, the Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, covers roughly 500,000 square miles of the ocean, with apexes in Bermuda, Florida and Puerto Rico.
There is no mistaking that a large number of vessels have gone missing in the area; however the explanation for those disappearances is where the conspiracies come into play. According to theorists, supernatural elements are responsible for the disappearances. Some say extraterrestrial beings are to blame, while others point to the mythical lost continent of Atlantis.
Adding more mystique to the incidents are reported compass variations, in which a compass will point to true north rather than magnetic north.
The U.S. Coast Guard and other experts familiar with the triangle discount supernatural elements as being responsible. Instead, they point to the fact that the triangle is situated in a heavily traveled area of the ocean. They say that the number of incidents that occur there are no greater than those that occur in other parts of the ocean. They feel that any number of natural occurrences - including tropical storms and rogue waves could be responsible. They also point to the possibility of pirates and mechanical failures.
In regard to the compass problems, experts say that there are no unusual magnetic anomalies in the area and cite the fact that all compasses have natural magnetic variations.
Regardless of whom you believe, one thing remains certain: The Bermuda Triangle will undoubtedly continue to remain a source of mystery and intrigue.

It's total crap. Probably just some made up story or urban legend that got pushed around too much. I've been through that area 20+ times to visit my family in Puerto Rico throughout my life and not once did we ever come across any issues or crashed spontaneously. I'm not dead or lost, am I?

Eh, I really wouldn't say that with confidence considering there's records and proof of most disappearances.

It's most likely something to do with electromagnetic storms in the area, destroying ships equipment and throwing them thousands of miles off course until they are swallowed by the sea.

The storms could be caused by something in the Earth as there is another area like Bermuda just off the coast of Japan on the other side of the planet.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

do some research.... electromagnetic storms... loooollllll u mean thunderstorms?

and by the way,, the amount of incidents that occur in that area when compared to the rest of the ocean are the same when the density of travel is factored...
]basically more ships and planes in one area means a higher likely hood that you willl have more incidents their.

No, electromagnetic storms are theoretical, there's more to these areas than just disappearances, stories from people who have 'survived' phenomena in these areas as well as the almost non existence of any wrecks from crashed planes or ships.

I say electromagnetic storms because of an account by a man flying his plane through over the area when he said he encountered a huge egg shaped cloud, while flying through his guidance equipment and electrical components went crazy and he said it was like flying through a different world.

Aliens could also be involved in the area, as Christopher Columbus accounted seeing a huge disk rise out of the ocean and fly away while he was sailing to America.

There's more to this area than meets the eye, in my opinion.

well... regardless of those accounts. based on the statistics their is no more planescrashes or boats sunk than any other major shipping route per square mile... so no basis for outlandish alien and supernatural claims... jussayin

No doubt.

Also, the sea floor is very irregular, it contains some of the deepest trenches in the world, perhaps that is why very few wrecks are ever found.

I watched a documentary on this and they said they had huge storm clouds that cut them off and they showed a clip of a plane going in and all the stuff turning off then it cut off lol

I don't believe it. I don't know why the Bermuda Triangle has so many wrecks, but I've been through it on a plane probably 6 or 7 times and I'm still fine. There could be so many different possibilites..

I honestly don't know what to think. In World War 2, there was a flight going across the Bermuda Triangle and it disappeared. I can't remember much more of it, just that they've never found any traces of the flight since.

And yes, it was 100% real.
