I blew out my r2p12 and r2p13 while jtagging a zephyr(last time i do those)
I read the volts off both resistors on a working box it was a 10k ohm resistor i blew.

Whats the difference between these:

One is a 1/4 watt and the other is a 1/16 watt.

For jtagging, use the 1/4 (radioshack)

No its not for jtagging i **** up the r2p12 resistor as seen in the boxxdr jtag method im asking if it has to be a little black square 10k ohm resistor or do both styles do the same thing?

EDIT: this is for replacing r2p12 and r2p13 so i can get this board to power up again cus currently its pretty dead. Ive read all over google u can replace with 10k ohm resistors

I MELTED A SURFACE MOUNT 10K ohm right off the motherboard

can i replace with a normal 10k ohm or do i have to find a surface mount 10k ohm

THIS IS NOT FOR JTAG WIRING THIS IS FOR REPLACING A SURFACE MOUNT RESISTOR IVE TRIED TO SAY THIS LIKE 5 TIMES EVERYONE KEEPS SAYING USE IT FOR JTAGGING THIS ISNT FOR JTAGGING ITS TO REPAIR A BROKEN RESISTOR ON THE BOARD NOTHING TO DO WITH JTAGGING EXCEPT IT BROKE WHILE JTAGGING

i dont think it would matter but if it was a surface mount on there before i would replace it with the surface mount.

Thank you for your help i didnt expect a real concrete answer I hope radio shack even has surface mounts if not ill have to wait a couple weeks for them to get shipped offline :/ I might just pickup some 1/16 10k ohm from radio in w/e form i can find and see if they make good replacements If they do ill make a guide on how to replace resistors if neone cares.

+REP for caring tho man a community doesn't work if no one is actually helping
