I hope you don't live in America after saying that. The 1st and 2nd amendment where two important reasons this country was formed. Guns will never be banned and those that are Americans that want guns banned can either:

1. Leave the US
2. Leave the US
3. And/or Kill yourself

But the 2nd amendment was written when the average joes gun took 30+ seconds to reload after 1 shot. Also, it was written when America was still vulnerable to British attack; so a "people's army" effect will occur.

Guns wont be banned, they will be restricted like in Britain, you can still buy guns here, but it's limited to what you can buy. Guns in Britain where restricted because of the Dundee Massacre, something similar to Sandy Hook; so maybe the same thing will happen.

Gun restrictions will stop a lot of gang violence - It worked in Europe and it would probably work in the US.

It won't matter if they ban guns. Criminals break the law, they will break the law to get a gun, they will break the law to cause a shooting.

A gun ban will NOT, and never will, stop shootings.

it would still make a big difference and drop crime rates

Exactly. I live in Chicago & right now we are technically at 499 murders this year.. But we've passed 500 , its just that the city is covering up more murders. It was on the news that a woman was burned to death & they put it as decriminalized arson. We should be at 507 murders but they don't want to admit that the government is failing.
Chicago is the murder capital as of right now & we only have 3 million. Compared to New York which has about 9 Million & they're under us in murders by a decent chunk.

Yea but you have to understand that Chicago is also the gang capital of the country to I mean there every where I live in the suburbs and there's still highly affiliated gang members out here

Nothing will stop shootings in the US trust me when I say that Sandy Hook wasn't the first big school shooting

On second thought, 644 civilians have been killed by the Irish Republican Army since the "troubles". And the IRA mainly use AK-47s and civvies have nothing.

And the fact that with Glasgow only having 600,000 people in it, and you are more likely to be attacked in Glasgow rather than New York.
