I was just wondering what was the best software to protect your PC from viruses, bots, worms, Trojans etc... I used Norton 30 day trial for a couple of months just uninstalling it when it ran out then installed it again but I was thinking is there better software than just Norton?

Norton is bad. Some good free ones include MalwareBytes AntiMalware and Microsoft Security Essentials. In the majority of the cases these two programs will perform better than the antivirus you will pay for.

The best antivirus though is to just not be an idiot. If you're torrenting then check the comments and the rating. It's harder to get viruses than it is to not get them nowadays.

Thank you very much, I do a lot of torrenting most days in fact and I always go with the ones with the most thumbs up.
