So i got all my parts today and i decided to build it. When i was about to put in the cpu and turn it on, i noticed several pins were bent slightly and 1 completely bent. I tried my best to make the one completely bent straight and the same with the others. I put everything in and turned on and i get no post. My fans turn on and the MB LEDs turn on, but i get no post. I think it may be something with the cpu itself or the Psu not cooperating with my MB. Or is there just a simple fix that will keep me from wasting money.

well if the pins on the cpu were bent, thats your problem send it back and demand a refund

If you didn't bend them hopefully you can get an RMA, unlucky not being able to use the PC on Christmas Day (I'm guessing it was a Christmas gift)

Yeah, they were bought a while back so i cant rma any of the suspcious parts unless i spend $15 to extend warrenty and send it in. If this is a porblem, I had it on my carpet when i was building it.

I did make sure i was at least touching metal if thats what you mean. Im reading up and it may just be the psu. Fans work and led are on without any beeps and some people say that may be a problem with the psu itself.

I figured out what was wrong. Turns out on my mother board, there is a small pin that you need to pull up to push in the cpu. After that everything turned on and i felt dumb becuase i was playing with that and then it turned off ater like 15 seconds becuase i didnt have a heat sink installed on it and it turned itself off to prevent overheating.
