The FIFA market is actually quite interesting, and knowledge of the market trend's etc can save or make you THOUSANDS.

A lot of people may think EA do it so you lose money from every sale and need to buy more packs to get more coins, however it isn't as sinister as that.

The 5% tax is applied to make sure players values don't crash. If you think they are crashing now (they are) then without the tax you would be shocked. The amount of players bought in packs mean's that there would be a lot of extra cash on the market without the tax, meaning the longer we go without tax the lower player prices will drop.



The arrival of the TOTY onto the market will send player prices down, people will launch into a frenzy once the TOTY is out, trying to flog their teams in order to get enough coins to either buy a TOTY player off the marker or pull one in a pack.

I advise - Just before the TOTY comes out sell your team, buy a very cheap team and play with that for a few days, then after about a week since the TOTY came out you will be able to re-buy your team for a lot cheaper than you sold it, if you don't sell it you will lose out on lots of coins once you become bored of your team.

What does Christmas mean for FIFA's Economy?

I don't know about you but for Christmas one of the first things on my list was ____ Microsoft Points, to go straight onto packs. So think about it, if loads of people are buying packs and pulling out loads of new cards to add onto the market what will happen?

The general price of players before and after the market will change hugely, a player worth 100k could be worth 80k by the 28th of December meaning if you keep the same team through the Christmas period you are throwing a whole lot of coins down the drain.

My Advice - Same as the TOTY advice, sell your team for a good price while you can, and you can pick up a better one once the Xmas rush is over and done with.

If I think a player is going to be in form next week is there anything I can do to generate a bit of cash?

When a player has an IF Card released the price of the normal card will go up with it too. For example, when Falcao scored 5 goals it was obvious to all of us, and then EA tweeted it, that next week Falcao would be In Form.

My Advice - If you think/know someone warrants an In Form (ie a Defender scores 2, Keeper plays out of his skin etc) just before the TOTW is released snap up loads of the normal card. Within days of the TOTW being out you will notice the price will have increased, sometimes it is not always loads but it worked out great for me once.

I came back from the United match and reminisced over a fantastic Evra performance, it soon hit me he could be In Form so I spent the rest of the fighting for Evra's under 9.5k. Then his IF came out, I had 35 Evra's and all of them sold for between 13.5k to 15k, massive profit. It adds up.
