Whats the difference between both? I know Download history is just better then license transfer but why do people rather use that and not download history?

License transfer is to get the stuff on your console. If you just download off the download history you cannot use it without being on that account that you redownloaded it on.

Basically if you download something from another account you will not be able to play it unless you use the two controller method. License transfer makes this easier because you are putting the license of the other account on your xbox making it easier and letting you play with ease.

Download History is a record on your account, of DLC on your account.
License Transfer, is what you do when you get a new console, to transfer your licenses for said DLC to use on your new console. Much to the dismay of many, not between accounts. Just one, please post documentation from XBox Terms of Use, and Code of Conduct, that stated License Transfer does not violate either , please, to dispute this, because I am more than happy to post the infomation that proves , license transfers are for the same account between consoles, only.
