XxKleShayxX wrote Well is medium spec decent? Also what's wrong with the processor?
The processor? For the games you'll be playing, nothing. And medium specs look fine. It'll look as it would on a 360 to put it in plain terms.

Well then that is fine by me. All the games I listed should work pretty smooth? I don't really want games like BF3, Skyrim, or Day Z. I want the simple games I enjoy.

The pentiums are intels low grade processors. You can change the clock speed on your processor whenever you want, but it dosnt do much if your processor isnt very good in itself.

I could run killing floor on my old single core, 2 GB RAM, 120 GB HDD machine about 3 years back 100% fine. That give you some dignity in your specs? Lol. Believe me, you'll be fine.

Thanks man. I'll have to learn more about PC before I get one. Maybe learn as I play.

The games he listed are quite old, as old as '07 to my knowledge. Considering the processor listed came out about a few months ago and exceeds the games minimum requirements, I doubt he'll have any issues on his low end processor. It's not very wise to overclock on a compact heatpipe cooled processor either. Things end terribly.

You just need to look up what each part of the computer actually does, then go to multiple websites and find the best deals. Also windows 8 is terrible, so you shuold steer clear from that. The processor is the brain of the computer, so you want to focus on that.

If you want to go that route, why not just recommend a scratch build. For his budget, ~$600, he can have a decent gaming machine with a REAL graphics card in it.

the computer he was looking at gave him less for more $$. And you dont want to terrible overclock your computer, but if you get good fans you can overclock it a bit. The one i found is cheaper, leaving him room to get some upgrades.
