GlitchHunter45 sent me a message with the first work "kid" so thats what made me think of this topic

When ever i play cod alone i normally don't have a mic in and i hear so often in the death chat "Wow that kid is using a shot gun" or "Wow that kid is in our spawn" I'm 16 years old and i'm pretty sure 90% of the people who call me a kid are younger then me, Also i don't understand why people act good while they use the most OP guns in the game then call you out for using the same gun there using

Dose this happen to anyone else or dose it seem to only happen to me when ever i don't have my mic in

I have a similar problem.

I am a Japanese girl and speak very little good English.
I can write it fine, I hope.
I don't have a mic because most people speak English on Xbox, so there's no point.

Anytime I win someone in a game they always shout telling me to put my mic in and say i'm a squeaky 8 year old boy for not having one...

It's stupid.

It's alright my brother is 20, and I have to fource him to use a mic. I figure he at least needs it while playing zombies. So he made me use the mic while we were playing split screen with 2 other people. I was talking, and he was like that's not what your supposed to say, your supposed to say "your bad kid, I slept with your mom"...... I looked at him, mostly because me saying that would sound extremely weird...

I really don't see what's wrong with not having a mic. I don't use my mic in Multiplayer and somtimes zombies when I don't feel like talking. I have turtle beaches and I use them mostly to hear the audio. I am 16 as well.

Happens to me too. I'm 17, 18 in September. Everytime I'm on xbox someone calls me a kid. I don't see what the point is in saying that. I also have turtle beaches. If I'm playing solo, no mic. If I'm playing with a team, Party chat. Still is annoying, though.

I guess in the Xbox community, No Mic = Two year old.

Being called a kid isn't offensive unless the statement involving the word kid is. Me and my friends use that term as another world for him, guy and what not. A lot of people do.

I get called a kid whether I have my mic in or not and I'm 18.

Haha, very interesting!

I lived in Japan for a very long time, my xbox and most of my things were purchased in Japan. My locality and friends are all Japanese, in fact, I only play with Japanese because of my Xbox. I live in Canada, but have Japanese products. If you are truely Japanese, and live in Japan you wouldn't have that issue. This is another reason people want to order Japanese set xboxs, so they can download the Japan only gamer pictures of anime and what not. You can't change your location to say Japan in your bio to play with Japanese people, you can change it but still play in the Xbox Region. I know because i've tried to change it to Canada and play with Canadians & Americans.

I've also learned to never trust someone who says they're a girl first thing (how unneeded is it in this topic?) on forums, games, and message boards.

OT: The games I play I've never really been called a kid. It's usually just attacking play styles as I only play RPGs & Fighting games, for the most part.

Actually, games will pair you with people who will allow you to have a low ping. And to do this, they need to pair you with people who live near you, or you will be red bar all game. The only way you can change this is in some games (Halo 3) where you can search by language and if you have your language set to Japanese.
