No, when you put money in the bank, depending on how much you deposit the bank could use that money for anything for example. My father was offered a very high interest rate from a local small bank, which was wanting to expand, terms were they would raise interest (gaining my father more money than any other person, because he was depositing such a large amount. The only downfall his money would be tied up for 2 years. This let them get enough funds to build their new bank. So basically if you sock a couple hundred dollars yeah itll probably stay there. But if you put a lot of money in a bank they will have you balance, thats why when you go to withdraw all your money it takes a couple days so they can get all the funds.
