Even with the title update it will work. I just did it for 2 of my friends. The trick is, is all you have to do is make sure your Xbox isn't connected to the Internet when you put your profile back on your Xbox once your done modding it. And once you've put it back on your Xbox start halo, and then go through everything you've unlocked and then connect to Xbox live and play a game of match making and it will stick
