yea lets bring back a visible ranking system so people can boost it like hell or de-rank by killing them self's the hole game. that will so make halo 4 better....

They could make it like H2's where individual performance plays a part in the ranking as well as wins and then boosting wouldn't matter at all.

Even if the made it like Halo 3's ranking system, only the truly awful players were effected by derankers. If you were truly good and deserved your wins and ranks, you'd still get past your level even if you lost a few due to derankers. And yeah, derankers may have frustrated people at times, but you know what those people did? They simply stopped playing and did something else. Nobody goes to bed mad over a video game at the end of the day.

But maybe a progression system is good for Halo 4. Let's let newer players and less skilled players match up against each other every game and turn potentially new players away from the game when they get wrecked. In Halo 4's current system, they pair you with people of a near SR-Rank and that's definitely not a true evaluation of skill.

They should bring it back. I liked a challenge (MLG 50), and now I rarely find good players. Complaining about Derankers is sad, they weren't a problem. You just can't carry your team which means your not good

but we still won.
but when you get past around the 40+ you wont see as much.
back when i was good at H3, i was a 45 in everything you name it. never got to my 50 but was pretty good
played with some pros from time to time.
all and all. i like the H3 ranking system.

Reach's ranking where kids are getting maxed ranks just from play 24/7 and still being bad. i only played Reach a couple of time. and everytime all high leveled players sucked, the lower levels were better
as i say "Rank In game means nothing just shows how long you play the game"

when the 1-50 comes in witch would be used in the Ranked playlist 1-50 would be used but when it comes to social witch would be the sr ranksyou it would be that because basicly nothing to play for the 1-50 you have to use your skill

Lol you played pros i beat Neighbor whilst he was streaming in matchmaking your a 45 your not getting close to playing with pros

You do know that the progression system that's in Halo 4, isn't it's ranking system, right?

The true skill is there, but it's just not visible yet until early 2013 or so.
