All apple thinks is the screen size. You could save a little and get a touchscreen laptop or tablet. Most are now better than the new iPad mini. I also think windows 8 or window rt are 100% better OS than Macs OS. The specs are also way better on other products. A lot of the new products specs at least are better than the new iPad mini.

Not just that, but they also haven't put a retina display on it, even though they could, but that would mean that next year they wouldn't be able to display NEW RETINA DISPLAY on the new product... The iPad mini has:

A5 (out dated by 3 processors)
Standard display similar to that of the iPad 2 (old and horrible quality).

HOWEVER - I prefer the size over the 10 inch standard iPad. I had a 4inch mobile phone, a 15.6 inch laptop, a 32 inch TV/Monitor for my PC but I could do with something in the middle and it looks like a good choice. iOS is a good OS no matter what people say. It-s smooth, easy to use and yes it lacks many things, but over all it is decent.

My opinion, don't hate.
