What I want to tell you is go buy black ops 2 day of release. And maybe a week or 2 later go back to the store you bought it from and get a refund/ store credit and buy the hardened edition for $20 more! That is how you can get the game day of release and get Nuketown zombies and all of that other good stuff if you didn't preorder in time. That's only if the store your buying from doesn't' have enough copies of Hardened edition at the time of release! Ex. Gamestop, EB Games

In the comments people have informed me that you will not get full refund, but you will get about 70-90% back. Not a known fact back it makes sense.

So in total it would cost about $90-100. Not a great way to get the maps, but it is a way to still get the maps. And still a great way to play the day of release and not worry about the extra maps.

Great input VeNoMzUK

Hope this Helped!

Unless the game is still unopened then they wont let you do a return on it. So you will have to buy the game , don't open it and don't play it for 2 weeks then go back and get the hardened edition. That's not logical, you may as well go buy the game 2 weeks later or just order it online.

Actually, yes you can refund your game. Thats why you can return games to get new ones right? Thats what i thought

Yes, they will buy used games. However, they will not pay you full price for a used game. As such, you will end up paying much more than just the original $20 difference.

Well, you should clarify your original post, in which you said "return it and get hardened for $20 more", due to the fact it is not, in fact, simply a $20 difference anymore.
