PC security

Ok well lets start off on tips on how NOT to get a virus, if you think you may have one just look below.
Tip #1. The most common file extension for a virus will end in .exe (for example if you download somthing and it ends in .jpeg it cant be a virus because it is a photo)

Tip #2. Use this online scanner to scan the file: Online scanner this will use 42 different Anti-viruses to scan the file.

how to use the online scanner:
1. after you have a file that you want to scan make sure its on your desktop like this: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] i will be scanning cain and able.

2. go to upload file [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] then look for the file and click on it

3. If this screen comes up just click "reanalyze" [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

4. then it will show what found it as a viruis and what didnt, i wouldnt use the program if more than 2 antiviruses find it as a virus. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] it says its a virus, but its goodware as u can see to the right

OK well thats how you use the online scanner lets go through some more tips.

Tip #3. Look at the file size if the file is suppose to be a large program ( like a modding tool) and it has less then 1MB of memory is probably a virus.

If you think you have a RAT virus this is for you

What is a RAT virus? RAT= Remote Administration Tool so in basic words its like Team Viewer but you don't know you have it and they have complete access to all your files, games, passwords, etc...

Facts about RATS: Rats are different than keyloggers, they might have a keylogger build into them but they have many more powers. Who ever made the rat is in controll if you are lucky if you get infected you might just have some old dude trying to RAT teen chicks and they will leave you alone, other times you will get a Dbag and he can delete all your files within seconds. Also if they are moving the mouse you can not tell that they are moving it, it will just keep doing as what you're doing.

Ways to tell if you have a RAT virus:
1. computer is slowing down
2. unexpected things happen ( random websites open )
3. Pages randomly close
4. missing/hidden files

Tips on how to get rid of RAT viruis:
Go to your taskmanager: CTRL>ALT>DEL>TASKMANGR wile you are there you can see all of the programs running on your computer [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
if you see somthing along the lines of somthing pointless like:
MOM.exe
Server.exe
Candy.exe
end it because it may be the RAT virus.

If this doesnt work download Maleware bytes wich can be found here: MalewareBytes then delete anything it finds

[size=28:9dd3d762d2] IMPORTANT
if you see any of your files missing while searching for the RAT virus turn off your computer ASAP, then boot it into save mode with networking by taping F8 while the computer is loading up. this will make it so no programs are running except the ones that were originally installed on to the computer then scan the computer with malewarebytes

Over-all security.

Ok lets start with the best FREE antivirus, the best Free antivirus would probably be Avira wich can be found here:
Avira
This is my favorite AV by far from experience with computers.

The best paid anti-virus is probably Kaspersky wich can be found here: Kaspersky

its also always good to find a good firewall a good free firewall would be found here:
personalfirewall.comodo.com/free...nload.html
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You may find that those Anti-viruses arnt your favorite or you just like them so heres a list of Anti-viruses that i rated best to least, these are all FREE.
1.Avast
2. SuperAntiSpyware
3. Spyware Doctor
4. AVG
5. Microsoft Secruity
