I have a 360 slim I bought about 2 years ago, it never gave me problems and it's a retail console that I've done no modding to. Well, now when I put in a disc(I've tried a brand new copy of Doom 3:BFG Edition and every other game I own) it takes a minute to read and then says "Play Game" which then tells me unrecognized disc. I've tried loading a game with the hard drive taken out and everything else you could think of. It doesn't give me the open tray error though. Some help would be very much appreciated.

the same thing happened to me. Take your xbox apart and clean the laser with cotton wool.

do cds and dvds work idont reccomend tackin slim apart
