FPS games I'd recommend the Razer Deathadder

a good keyboard I use is the Steelseries 6Gv2

MMO games get a Razer Naga

to be honest pretty much any keyboard and mouse will do, alot of people will argue with me on this but when i first had my rig built i used a simple Microsoft wireless 800 Mouse and keyboard and it worked perfectly, i only recently upgraded my keyboard because one of the buttons (the left shift key) stopped working randomly but 8 months of use pretty much every day for only 17 is well worth it.

that being said the suggestions above are excellent if you want to pay for them of course.

I'd recommend the Sidewinder X4 if you can find it cheap, (the price seems to have risen) good reviews on the CM Xornet mouse - I'd give them a look if I were you.

Ultimately though, the choice of peripherals is always user's individual preference to how they are accustomed. E.G claw or palm grip on mice

ITT: People recommend what they own, which just doesn't make sense.

OP, what's your budget? Can't recommend anything without it. Keep in mind the low-end keyboard market sucks right now.
