They're not doing it for fun? Whenever i vote something down in this section it's because either 1 - It's not good enough. 2 - copy and paste. 3 - it's already been done. If they have a problem with me voting them down they can send me a message that i won't care about/read.

Luigi's Mansion
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Release Date: November 18th, 2001
Developers: Nintendo EAD
Publishers: Nintendo
Platforms: GameCube
Genre: Action- Adventure
Players: 1 (Singleplayer)
Rating:Everyone

Sypnosis
The game takes place in a haunted mansion when Luigi wins a contest that he never entered. He told his brother to meet him there to celebrate his victory. Luigi is searching for his brother Mario, who came to the mansion earlier, but went missing. To help Luigi on his quest, an old professor named Elvin Gadd or E Gadd has equipped him with the "Poltergust 3000", a vacuum cleaner used for capturing ghosts, and a "Game Boy Horror", a device used for communicating with Gadd. He also uses it as a map and to examine ghosts.

Story/Gameplay

Alright let me get something straight here... Back when I was 5, this was the first EVER video game I got. Used to scare the sh*t out of me but it definitely gave me hours of fun! Now, many years later, I actually went back to playing my ancient GameCube and this game still remains one of my favorite through the times. The story is about Luigi (If you didn't know, Mario's brother) trying to find his missing brother who went into a mansion and never came out! Little did he know, it was filled with a bunch of ghosts that literally get Luigi to freakin' jump every second of the game.
You go through many different parts of the house doing little missions (defeating boss ghosts and such) and ultimately trying to save your brother. Lots of fun if you asked me but this is surely no "shoot em up" kind of game. Just old school Nintendo style lol.

Graphics

How should I talk about graphics? Well compared to today, you might just think the game's graphic card runs on a potato haha. But seriously, they're quite obsolete. Go back to 2001 though, they were great. Of course, Nintendo isn't known for having superb graphics but they follow the usual "Mario" outline when it comes to what you're seeing on the screen.

Controls

Controls are very easy. Open things with "A", turn off your flashlight with "B" and just your usual easy to learn controls! When you're capturing ghosts though, you have to spin the stick in circles for a very long time that my thumb used to go through minutes of soreness after a hard to capture ghost. Lol

Rating:
Story: 9.0 (Still pretty great now)
Graphics: Now, 5.0 Back in the days, 9.0
Controls: 9.5 (Easy to learn)
Lasting appeal: 7.0 (You can replay the game but that's really all)
Overall rating:9.5 (Hey, I still like it to this day and this is 12 years old!)

Fable TLC "The Lost Chapters" - Review

Game Information

Release Date: 14 September 2004
Platforms: Xbox, Xbox 360(Games on Demand), Windows, Mac OS X
Developers: Big Blue Box (Original), Lionhead Studios (Lost Chapters), Robosoft Technologies (Mac OS X)
Publishers:Microsoft Game Studios, Feral Interactive (Mac OS X)
Genre: Action role-playing
Ratings: "MA" 15+

Synopsis

In this game, you take on the role of a boy in the town of Oakvale, which get's attacked by a group of bandits, seeing your sister get kidnapped along with your mother. You have no one left as your father has died, but the Heroes guild decides to enroll you into there academy. It's up to you to be a good guy, or bad guy and save the land of Albion and re-unite with your mother and sister... Do YOU have what it takes?

Gameplay

This game is quite fun, being a fan of RPG games it hit's the spot for me. Now you may be wondering a 2k4 game still being played in 2013? Well it's true. This series has gone down-hil with the release of the game "Fable The Journey" For Kinect, so why not talk about the series within it's prime. (Let's not talk Fable 2/3).

The gameplay was great, it was hard at some points and each city was amazing. You got to kick chickens and make them angry which gave your player the original title of "Chicken Chaser". Amazing right? Well I think so. Anyways, if you are to continue on your nice adventure you can meet some ladies, and well you know do what you do. You can buy-out properties and even rent them out to gain more money.

Graphics

The graphics style is old, considering it being an XBOX ORIGINAL Game, for it's time they where quite amazing, but compared to the games we have now they are quite bad. But that's not bad news as they will be re-booting this game with Updated graphics, but the same game. So if you're wanting to play the game for great graphics wait for LionHead Studios to re-release the game with Achievement support, and updated graphics. If graphics aren't your thing then this is quite the game for you if you enjoy a nice RPG.

Recommended For..

I would recommend this game to RPG players, if you've played Fable II or Fable III you are knowing the current play style of 3RD Person with loads of legendary weapons, and many quests to do. If you just love a nice RPG this will be the game with decision making and armour wearing, title changing, combat anywhere, bandit fighting. Just about anything any RPG will offer. It's no elder-scrolls but it's quite a game.

Controls

The controls are quite simple, there isn't really anything to say bad about them. the D-Pad is used to do some Emotions, or eat food when you need to restore your health. Everything is smooth and easy accesable. Nothing to worry about when playing this game, very easy to get along with and very fun to use.

Final Ratings

Story: 9
Graphics: 4
Gameplay: 8
Overall Rating: 7

The rating would be higher, but the graphics aren't that great. But graphics don't always matter, and if they do remember they are making an HD redefinition of this game which could increase this up to a 8-9.

Fallout 2: A post nuclear role-playing game

"War... War never changes"

Released: September 30, 1998
Box Art: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Developer: Black Isle Studios
Publishers(s):Interplay.
Platforms: Microsoft Windows and MAC OS
Genre(s): Role-Playing/Single Player

Rating: ESRB: M

Synopsis:

Fallout 2 is a role-playing open world video game developed by Black Isle Studios and published by Interplay in 1998. While featuring a considerably larger game world and a far more extensive storyline, the graphics and game mechanics from Fallout remain mostly unchanged.

Story

Fallout 2 too me was like an awesome baby you would get if you made love to the hottest women alive.(added that to bring in some comedy) But Basically this game is basically tellig you the story of a descandant of the original Fallout hero also known as the vault dweller. Now to set the story in motion your tribe in Arroyo has just experinced a terrible drought (hey sounds familiar dosent it, if you know what i mean fallout fans), but any way the tribe elder, has asked you the one known as "The Chosen One" who is either the son/daughter or grandson/grandaughter(mostlikely these 2) of the original hero you played as 41 years earlier when you had to find vault 13 a water chip. But now basically its 2241. But your sent out into the waste once again to find the G.E.C.K/ Garden of Eden creation kit, which is suspected to be in vault 13. You are armed to the teeth with a Vault jumpsuit, a vault 13 canteen, a spear, some cash, and your VERY OWN PIPBOY 2000. Yep that pesky machine is once again back into your hands. Now your adventure begins, so after your long long journey (kidding you can beat the game in 30 minutes if you rushed, max 3 days)you stumble upon vault 13, When you enter it to search for the GECK you discover no one is home. hmmm where did they all go. oh well. So now The Chosen one shall return to his village. When he gets back he discovers hes village has been destoryed and inhabitants taken prisoner by the enclave remnants. Now you must make your way to find them. Now you must find away to get to the oil rig controlled by the enclave. Hint: "dont" use the oil tanker lol" Once you get there you learn that Not only are the villagers are there but so are the vault 13 residents. But the enclave is testing the FEV virus on them (Forced evolutionary Virus). Your probably wondering isn't that from the first fallout? well NOOOOO IT IS NOT THAT WAS THE MODIFIED FEV! the Modified FEV turns everyone into mutants, the FEV like the one from fallout 3 kills all contaminated and mutated forms of life, hence why they would test it on vault people to see if it affects them. Well now its time for you to stop President Richardson and his secret service genetically modified super agent Hank Horrigan and destory the oil rig. Well im not telling you the ending to that so to bad.
Spoiler:
You reunite with your tribes people and together you and vault 13 members use the GECK To build a new prosperous community of people the end, way to go spoiling the game for your self.

Gameplay:

Ok now to the gameplay, Ok so basically this game is mostly free roam,(most information is in the story above.) and your free to go anywhere, but like the original fallout when you get attacked you must fight, but i believe they added a system to allow you to run. but basically just like the old game your given action points to attack, switch weapons, change Armour, all that good stuff during combat. Now after you run out of points it is no longer your turn to attack it switches to the npc and they attack you now. well other than that your free to explore dont worry you don't have a short time limit like you originally did. Now doing a speed run i've beaten this game in 37 minutes, and fallout 1 in 18 minutes. But if you play this game like normal it should take you a decent amount of time. there is alot of stuff to do in this game. Beware children there is crime, drugs, alcohol, prostitution, and slavery. Yes btw the S.P.E.C.I.A.L system is in this game to.

Graphics:

This game was made in 1998 1 year after the first one so, their wasn't any major graphics change, it stayed the same kinda overhead rpg game it was originally. but other than that it does decent in graphics.

Controls:

Ok so just like the original fallout everything is pretty much controlled by pointing and clicking, and ocasionally use the arrow keys. but to engage in a fight click the enemy, to attack click the attack button which uses your action points. But its all interfaces and mouse movement. So if you played the first game you've pretty much got the controls down.

Rating(mine):

Overall: 8.5/10
Gameplay: 7/10 (If you notice its kinda like fallout 1 with the idea of the story, a FEV, Drought, and aadventure into the harsh waste.
Graphics: 9/10 (slight improvement)
Controls: 8/10( I KNEW THEM THIS TIME INTERPLAY!)
Content 7/10

I would like ttg for allowing me to post this and i hope to post more Reviews soon, and im also looking to do more reviews like this, where i add personal insight. like that baby thing at the beginning. Yes i know there wasnt much in this reveiw because mostly this game is like its predecessor. But if i need more content let me know!
Sincerely,
-Fallout

BTW i know with the game reveiws im doing is basically grave digging, but i believe people should know about these once great games and make them great again!

The Last of Us Information

Release Date: June 14, 2013
Developers: Naughty Dog
Publishers: Sony Computer Entertainment
Platforms: PlayStation 3
Genre: Action-Adventure, and Survival-Horror
Players: One Person Game
Rating: Mature 17+

Synopsis

It has been 20 years since a fungus has been on the loose, killing people and re-animating their corpses, turning them into one of The Infected. Nature has been reclaiming its land from abandoned cities. The military has the United States under martial law and is keeping everyone in quarantine zones to stay away from the infection. The quarantine zones have many checkpoints, giving body scans for any signs of fungi. Those found with even remote traces of the fungus are euthanized.

Joel is a black market dealer within a quarantine zone that sells weapons and drugs. An unknown event occurs where Joel promises a lifelong friend that he will take care of a young girl named Ellie as they escape from the quarantine zone and go across the country starting in Boston. They go into the unprotected and previously bombed city, which was bombed to kill the infected but ultimately failed. The two are traveling throughout the United States and are being chased by the military. Joel and Tess are trying to bring Ellie to a group called the Firefly.

On the road, there are many scavengers, hunters or harmful people that are trying to look for provisions, and they see Joel and Ellie as an opportunity. The two are constantly trying to fight their way through these people to stay alive and away from the infected and the military.

Gameplay

The Last of Us uses a third-person perspective and will take control of Joel, while Ellie will be controlled by the AI. The game will involve gun fighting and melee combat as well as a cover system. The player will fight off the Infected former humans and the Survivors humans that are not infected, but are hostile towards Joel and Ellie. A new gameplay mechanic is a feature the developers call "dynamic stealth", meaning that there are many different types of strategies and techniques that the player can use at any given time as they approach a new situation, to which enemies will react differently.

Graphics

The Last of Us has unbelievable graphics because when your in the game you feel like your actually in the game!

Online-Multiplayer

The Last Of Us multiplayer mode ties into the story and world that Naughty Dog has created, as well as working effortlessly within the mechanics of the single-player experience.
The multiplayer modes themselves are a 4v4 deathmatch of sorts, where you and three allies must take on another group. Respawns are limited each round, so staying safe is of key importance.
Matches are a more subtle affair than your usual multiplayer modes, with each player creeping around the environment to carefully pick off enemies either alone or working strategically with your team mates.
Youll be able to pick from a bevy of weapons and loadouts, meaning you can bring two weapons to each game and a selection of passive buffs and game-wide benefits.
Sound is important, too, since giving away your position whether running or, worse, shooting will bring down the wrath of your opponents.
Knowledge of the map is equally important too. Every map can be navigated in a number of ways, whether clambering over objects to reach higher ground or sneaking around the back of a building to enter through the back.
Looting caches litter the ground throughout each map too, and stored inside is a selection of items for you to put to use, primary among them being the ability to craft additional weapons to use in that round.

Overall Rating:

Gameplay: (9 of 10)
Graphics: (8.5 of 10)
Online-Multiplayer: (9 of 10)

GoldenEye 007

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Game Information
Name: GoldenEye 007
Genre: Shooter, Stealth
Release Date: 23 August 1997
Developers: Rare
Publishers: Nintendo
Series: James Bond
Modes: Single-player, Split-screen
Console(s): Nintendo 64

Plot
The game begins with James Bond being deployed to a secret base in Russia along with his associate Alec Trevelyan. The two have been tasked with finding out about a rocket launch the Russians planned on acting out. However, the mission goes wrong and Alec Trevelyan is captured and assassinated by the Russians and James Bond only just escapes with his life. The story continues with James Bond travelling to a few locations and completing tasks to help track the where the rocket is but he is eventually caught and put in prison. He escapes from prison with a programmer who was thrown into prison for betraying the operation called Natalya Simonova. The two escape the facility just before it is obliterated. The game continues and Natalya Simonova is captured twice more, both times being rescued again by Bond. In the final missions of the games James Bond finds out that Alec Trevelyan was actually undercover for the Russians and not only was he not really executed but he was running the whole operation. James Bond destroys his armoury and assassinates his top men before tracing down Trevelyan who was frantically trying to regain contact with the GoldenEye missile and defeats him in a gun fight, ending the game.

Gameplay
GoldenEye 007 has a very long storyline for a game which is so old and so many different features you wouldnt believe it was developed in 1995. Throughout the story, the player plays as James Bond and plays through twenty different missions, each on different maps completing a set number of objectives and then escaping the level to earn maximum points. The game offers a lot of variety with different enemies which wear uniforms to match their surrounding environment, a massive variety of different weapons and a large amount of unique gadgets which resemble gadgets used by James Bond in the movies. The game has three different difficulties ranging from easy to hard which can offer more experienced gamers a better experience. Another point definitely worth noting is that the game offers multiple save files so the player does not have to erase all of their progress if they want to re-play the game unlike most older games. The game is also highly factored around remaining undetected to complete most missions, this means that the player must try to take out their enemies whilst not alerting other guards to their presence, else risking an alarm being set off which will make the mission near impossible to complete. Another great advantage about this game is that it is a free-roam first person shooter so the player can spend as much time as they like exploring each map for different and unique weapons. This game also has a split-screen mode with a decent variety of game modes where players can play against each other in a game set up exactly how they like. Split-screen mode allows the players to choose from a huge variety of different characters from James Bond movies and a very large variety of guns.

Graphics
This game had average graphics when it was released and although they were nothing special, this aspect of the game was definitely redeemed by the outstanding gameplay. The game was developed nearly twenty years ago hence the fact that graphics would obviously be a joke if released nowadays, however, the game can still easily be played today and the graphics can easily be suffered through as the game is so great. The graphics are quite jagged and rough but what does anyone expect from such an old game?

Controls
The controls are fairly simple alike most first-person shooters on the Nintendo 64. There are a few control techniques which may take while to pick up such as changing and using gadgets, however most features like jumping, shooting, aiming and moving around which are the essentials are very easy to pick up and can be mastered after only playing for a short period of time. Overall, there are no problems with the controls.

Ratings (Personal)
Plot: 8/10
Game play: 9/10
Graphics: 5/10
