If you look into the teachings of Rene Descartes, author of the famous phrase, 'I think therefore I am' you will see that the individual human experience is proof that you 'exist' in some form.

However, it is not proof that others are in the same type of existence as you. We can consider 'Type' to be in relation to 'Reality' or 'Purpose'.
The other persons purpose could be to help you along, it could be something far more sinister.

Although, believing that you are alone in your specific purpose or reality or believing that the world is manufactured to you specifically could harm you psychologically which is why it's always good to think of these things hypothetically rather than literally.

I agree that existence is a very mind-bending topic when it comes to philosophical questions like these.

Personally, I don't think we will ever find the correct answer until we pass away.

If what you are proposing is accurate, then surely it would need an overseer.

Something or someone to assign original purpose or reality to each of us?

Exactly right.

Unfortunately, [or fortunately] depending on whether you want this to be real or not, this could not occur without some higher being keeping everything in flow.
The first designer of this system of interwoven realities.
It is impossible to think that something like this would come about naturally.

Then, however, you could begin asking about Multiverses and cross-conscience.
I still believe that they would require an overseer, but there's a small chance that it could occur naturally when you change some variables.

From an atheist point of view this must be impossible though.

Yo you might have depersonalization/derealization such as I do. I find my self always questioning reality. I even base most of the poetry I write off my thought about stuff like that. It truly makes you have an open mind to what's out there, I'm mean we really have no proof that states that certain things don't exist. Well anyways nice post.

I thought as much.

You seem very knowledgeable on this topic.
If one had questions would one be able to have them answered in PM's to avoid spamming the topic?

One would be able to have them answered.

Philosophy is pretty much an open book.
Just look beyond the obvious and there you have it.

See you in PM's Theo.

I'm very glad that you didn't put Plato when quoting that.

I agree, although thinking about this literally can be fun sometimes especially when you're feeling misanthropic.
Too much would destroy your mind though.
Especially if you take others purposes as sinister.

Very good post. Made a lot of sense of a rather confusing topic.

What is existence? Is it the in between of life and death? Or the sad excuse of what humans have called living? Well what is Living? Living is the pride from which humans get from accomplishing their goals in their existence. But what have they truly accomplished? There is nothing really done and nothing ever changes. They talk about how this will go down in history and people will remember My name for centuries. But is that absolute? Nothing is absolute in this world but Death. Death is the one thing that will never change and will never end. Death doesn't discriminate between races for which there are no such things as races. They're people, a people who have the urge to know what they call existing and being happy. But Death is the thing that which people have feared since the dawn of time for, which it takes away their most beloved object, Life. But does death really take Life away from us? Or does it finally gives us the knowledge to truly exist? But then that begs the question what is existence?
