I have been learning to make websites for nearly a year now, and have learned a lot since I started. Recently I have been learning PHP, and have made a website for my Minecraft Server.

I would like people to rate my website, and say what they think, and explain why they think that, so I can use it to improve the website. So instead of just posting "It sucks", please post why it sucks so I can make it not suck.

The link to the website is [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Nearly all things on the website were made by me, whether it be the images or code. None of my code has been copied and pasted, and none of the images stolen. The only things on the site which weren't made by me were the paypal buttons and the livemap.

I have been working on this site for about a month now, but most of the code is hidden as it is PHP, but what I want to know most, is how good people think it is.

This is the first time I have asked people to give feedback on this version of the site, so please, if you want to criticize it as much as you possibly can, make sure to explain your reasons for saying what horrible things you might have on your mind about it. After all, that is the only way I can improve.

Thanks for the feedback.

I haven't bothered to use any other fonts than the default, so I will look around and see what ones would look good.

I recommend the Font Tahoma. Everybody and Browser has and supports it. Throw some bold on that and your all set!

Well pony, not too big of a fan. I'm not feeling the vibrant colors. Nothing flows together or even fits in for that matter. It's lacking a solid theme, or any theme at all, everything seems to just be randomly thrown together. I hate to be cruel but it just seems overall poorly coded and designed.

Was this written in notepad or something like Dreamweaver?

If you feel like getting design improvements, go get yourself beat up in the graphics board. I would be happy to Photoshop you some stuff later and show you a few needed tips.

Anyway, better luck next time..

This is the feedback I was hoping for. I coded the site in a text editor very close to notepad, except it was a built in text editor with my FTP client.

For the theme, I just worked on each part of the site to make it all fit together, so I suppose it might look a little random the way the page is presented.

As for the graphics, which there aren't a great many only the logo really, I didn't use Photoshop, I used Illustrator so I could resize the logo without losing any of its picture quality.

So thanks for the feedback. Next time I should work more on the overall theme/style of the site.

Go ahead and grab yourself a copy of Dreamweaver, your never go back. The first thing I do when I make a site is open up Photoshop and layout all the aspects you want on the site. If you not good at Photoshop, get someone else to do it for you. But without as solid layout, there's next to no way your final turnout will be any better. As far as the logo, if you have it saved as a vector, you can resize without quality loss.
