This is a Raw footage video I didn't do any editing I just threw the clips together. I did this for a recruiting website. I am hoping to try and get a scholarship for baseball, I know I'm not the biggest or anything but I thought it was pretty good, I also need to start hitting the gym more, I haven't been there in awhile and when I was I was throwing harder and getting the ball down to second faster then I was in the video. LEt me know what you guys think.

You have a horrible second baseman he cannot hold on to the ball

I play baseball myself. Work on keeping the ball in front of you and wild throws. You have a pretty good throw down to the bases, just hit those little targets and your good. I couldn't tell well in your batting, but try and keep your front foot down, you look to be losing your balance. Your stance is very good. At around 6:30 I could see that your head is perfectly level with your belt buckle.

Got some tips for you:

  • Bulken up a bit, you need TONS of strength to be a catcher. Do upper body, but you need to do much more of legs. Work on your speed as well.

  • Try to throw long toss everyday so you can strengthen up your arm. Scouts love when catchers have strong arms.

  • When you are hitting, stay inside of the ball, hit the ball to the opposite field.

  • After your swing, stay balanced. It looks like the bat is swinging you.

  • When you take a pitch, make sure to follow it all the way into the catchers glove.

Other than that, make sure you are working hard on your school work. Scouts love to see good baseball players with good grades.

You need to hit the weights, bulk up a bit

As a catcher you should be able to throw a strike to second
