Hey guys waiting for help on this. I have seen on the internet that this happens on a corrupt game save or other things related to games. What I did was try and update my JTAG to 15744 or whatever it is, and get a "Fatal Error Intercepted" at boot up. I downloaded Dashlaunch 3.2 (the newest one) and what I think I did wrong was I put the .ini file in the dash launch folder when I believe was suppose to go in the root of the HDD. I ran the default.xex from Daushlaunch and clicked "Install Dashlaunch" and froze at the very beginning. I turned the console off and at the end of the Xbox animation at the start up, I get a message saying "Fatal Error Intercepted". Please help guys, someone said I pretty much "unjtagged" my jtag but hes stupid because I can perfectly run Xell via eject button, jus not run the dashboard, xexmenu, fsd, or ANYTHING! Please help, Thanks community, your the best..

You did a bad flash with the dashboard, get a copy of your nand and go back into Xebuild and make a new hacked img.

What is your default boot item set too in dashlaunch? the launch.ini is fine being in the installer folder it will just get moved when you install dashlaunch.

Does anything else work? IE does it then take you to the retail dashboard after the "Fatal Exception"

The fatal exception showing on screen is a feature of dashlaunch to catch XeX crashes , it doesn't sound at all like a bad flash , it sounds like a corrupted XeX in whatever folder he has set to launch from.

Boot with no HDD installed and tell me what happens

Exact same thing happened to me last night (I literally did the EXACT same thing you did with the ini file, install and reboot). I get the error with or without a hard drive on the xbox. I can navigate the retail dash board, but if I attempt to add another account or anything else that would "write" data the "fatal crash intercepted" error comes up.

have either of you tried then moving launch.ini to the root of HDD to see if that fixes it?

I can't because I get the error regardless of what I do. I cannot access the HDD because it went corrupt, so therefore no XEXMenu. I don't have a burner here, so I cannot burn it to a CD.

Ok, finally burnt a XEXMenu disk, and when I load it, and hit "Play Game" it just opens a black screen. Random button mashing seems to do nothing, but if I hit the xbox button I hear the xbox sound, but then the system seems to lock up.

:/

Ok since im all new to this, can someone please help me get my JTAg back working? I can NOT run XeX Menu, go to the dashboard, ANYTHING. It Can like stated already run Xell, no doubt in that. Only thing is I feel like I did a bad dashlaunch file error or something like i probably misplaced a folder.. But no the error appears when I turn on the JTAG not when running games or profiles.. I also booted with no HDD nor usb or anything and the same thing appears. HELP!!

You need to have the latest version of dashlaunch for it to work with your new dash and you probably don't have xex menu setup in the correct folder if you can't run it.
