If anyone else has problems starting up Mw3, such as the black screen for about 10 minutes before it loads. I have found a solution that will work whilst they get out a new title update or w/e. I may not have been the first one to figure this out.
This will put you at the xbox live menu. You can back out once so that you can access the store but backing out the main menu will cause the black screen.
1. Create a Normal profile (No Xbox Live)
2. Start up Mw3
3. Select Brightness, Screen Width & Height, Mature Content Warning etc.
4. Select Multiplayer
5. Select Xbox Live
6. Log into your Gold/Silver account you want to play on.

6. Log into your Gold/Silver account you want to play on.
