Ok,
let me start off by saying that I have played online games since 2001, now I want to say first that not all people are like this but most people especially younger people are like this.
Now on to the actual rant, when I first started gaming it was cool to have a name that was creative and sounded cool like "DeathLord" or "Spyke" nobody wanted a real word or an OG, I mean is a name like "Their" much better than a name like "Cyx", this is just an example.
Kids nowadays have no creativity when choosing a name and the ones that do are put down for it because it is not OG, I think that is completely stupid. For example I was playing with this guy with the gamertag "Raisinski" which to me sounds really cool and creative but in the game people said it was sh*t because it was not a real word... This is crazy and I really hate it.
Please post your opinion on this subject.

Totally agree. Its Xbox/Psn who cares? You can have whatever gamertag/Psn you want. Don't Let others talk trash just cause of your name. Its stupid in my opinion.

Normally their name makes no sense, on a game who wants to be called "Tree" or "Freshener". IDGAF if its a word your PSN/GT should symbolise you and it should be something cool that you came up with.
Id rather be called something that means something to me then a word.
