if this happend would be a Mirricle but i doubt it becuase the amount of kids smoking from peer pressure and been "cool" i go to school and there are atleast 15 - 20 people there smoking a the bottom of the field

Good luck but their is no way in hell that this could work in the us, if tabacco is made illegal then it is going to be the prohibition all over again but this time it won't be alcohol. Then the underground market opens up and then as somebody else said crime may rise. Keep in mind nicotine is one of the most used drugs in the us and the world And if it is made illegal then their will clearly be big problems. The chance of tabacco being made illegal is slim to none in the us because so much money is brought in from the sale of tabacco and the big companies in tabacco are what the government needs. I'm pretty sure the article didn't say if tabacco was going to be made illegal but I'm just saying if this idea was brought up in the us then that person will simply be laughed at. Finally in no why am I trying to say you should smoke, I have before and it's absolutely stupid I stopped before I got completely addicted and I'm glad because I don't see the point. I can't say the same about marijuana but we are all entitled to our own opinions.

I am totally ok with people who don't smoke that is your decision wether you want to smoke or not but don't make it worse for us smokers who which to have a cigarette once in a while like really who am I affecting if I am sitting on my deck smoking a cigarette?? So if people want to make people stop smoking does that mean that they are going to try and get people to quit smoking weed as well? And I know you might say that they already do try to get people to stop smoking weed because it is illegal but I almost guarantee you that at least 50% of people that have posted on this status have smoked weed before or smoke weed to this day. So you can smoke a joint which is illegal but you can't smoke a cigarette? My point is dont ruin it for smokers just because you don't want to smoke cigarettes are expensive as hell already so don't up the price just because you don't want to do it. It doesn't affect you in anyway unless you are in a room with someone who is smoking and that's illegal to so come on really??!! Sorry for the rant I just don't see why if you don't smoke you have to make it so bad for us smokers to smoke. Rant over
